The vision of the training process is to see women raised to teach She Can Teach all across Vineyard USA. We want to lift women in every local community, giving you the tools to begin your own classes and watching this training multiply abundantly from region to region.

Who is this training for?

Teaching is a sacred ministry, and this course is designed for you—whether you want to learn how to study the Scriptures, want to test the waters of teaching for the first time, or are an experienced preacher looking to sharpen your skills and grow your confidence. 

Why This Course?

  • A Female Perspective: We emphasize the female voice, perspective, and stories in the Scriptures, recognizing that women approach the text with unique experiences that are invaluable to the church.

  • Practical Skills: You will learn how to bridge the gap between the ancient text and your modern-day audience, ensuring your message lands with grace and truth.

  • Community: You won't be doing this alone. You will find community with other female teachers and preachers, and you’ll have a coach in your corner every step of the way.

What You'll Learn

Our goal is for you to become equipped to teach a biblical message that inspires transformation and to become confident in your female voice.

Phase One

Take the SCT Course & Discern 

Your first real step into the pipeline is simple: Take the SCT Course as a student. Experience it. Once you've completed it, you will shadow and observe the course from the back of the room. This is your discernment window time for you to decide if you truly want to commit to becoming an SCT trainee.

NEXT: The Shadow Year (Travel & Observation)

If we both say yes, you are going to travel with the Vineyard USA team for a year—at your own expense. If you want to be a protégé, you have to invest. Your job during this year is to watch everything.

Take exhaustive notes on the trainer:

  • How does the trainer walk into the room? What is their energy?

  • How does the trainer introduce herself and greet people?

  • How does the trainer answer questions? (What questions keep getting asked?)

  • How does the trainer keep track of time, and just as importantly, how does the trainer gracefully let time go when the room needs it?

  • The Breaks: Watch what the trainer talks about with women during the breaks. The teaching doesn't stop when the microphone turns off.

Phase TWO

The Stepped Cohort & The Crucible (Year 1.5)

Now you transition from watching to doing. You will be building your stage presence in carefully measured steps, and you will do it exactly the way I do it first.

The 10-Minute Test (Word Study)

You will attend another SCT course, but this time you aren't just sitting there. You are going to get up and teach a 10-minute segment on "How to do a word study." * We will not throw you to the wolves; we will aid you in developing this 10-minute block.

Once you do it, you get feedback from the trainer.

The Interpretation Segment

You will attend yet another course. This time, you will teach a full section of the SCT material on biblical interpretation (which will be provided for you).

  • Afterward, you get trainer feedback.

  • Don't sweat it, we repeat. You may need a second round to teach the SCT interpretation segment again at the next course until you master it. Then, more feedback.

  • We will repeat this step as long as it takes for you to feel comfortable and equipped.

Phase three

The Internship & The Launch (Year 2)

Now you’ve got the content down, but you need to get me down—the whys and the hows behind every move. This is the year when you fly, but I am still holding the safety line.

Receiving the Material & Launching Your Class

Once you are ready to lead your own class, you will invest $500 to receive the official SCT material. This isn't just a fee—it is an investment in your own growth and a commitment to lifting up other women as they learn to teach and preach the Word.

  • With support from the SCT team, you will set up your own class.

  • The trainer will observe you teaching it either in-person or via online stream.

  • You guessed it: more feedback.

You will learn what it looks like to carry SCT with integrity throughout the Vineyard USA.

You will continue to offer the SCT course to women (and men) in your region or perhaps beyond!
